I never really understood why he left in the first place. But it was really cool of SMS to honor the warranties for Saleen and I'm glad Steve is back where he should be.
I remember he said he didn't like where the company was headed. I know the board wanted to expand beyond just the automotive side. They wanted to turn Saleen into a lifestyle brand. Clothing and other products. The whole Saleen Store thing like they tried. But I think he saw the recession coming and decided to bail and go small like with SMS.
